Creation and development of pattern designs derived from a single monogram. Each design was inspired by diverse cultures. (Egyptian, Aztec, and Indian) The single motifs illustrate the hidden initials “KV” in a very stylistic manner, intertwined secretly within the pattern.

 

Each particular design can have varying applications, such as a logo or a textile pattern. However for this particular project, the design was explored and expanded to develop textile patterns. A final selection was made for every culture studied and was rendered accordingly to its corresponding cultural palette.
